He is a beginner and this kit was the perfect set up to get him started. Includes everything he needed to get going. He loves it.Kit came incomplete missing Allen key, bodkin, and hackle pliers. Important tools left out of the kit. Quality is irrelevant if the kit is incomplete. 1 out of 5 as I did not get what I paid for.My sons were taking the fly fishing merit badge and needed a kit to practice tying flies on. Their instructor was impressed with the value for the price. Not a life time kit, but definitely everything you need to try it out.Great starter kit, with lots of material. More thread colors would make this a 5 star. This is coming from my 9year old son who wanted this kit for christmas.Gave to my son who has taken a few courses in fly tying and fishing.
